Italian Murano Glass Drop Pendant att. Barovier & Toso, 1940s

An exceptionally elegant vintage pendant in clear Murano glass, attributed to the renowned Venetian glasshouse Barovier & Toso. The lamp has a beautiful, organic silhouette, with an oval, ribbed glass shade that encloses the light source like a delicate sculptural lantern.

The clear, mouth-blown glass is finished with fine vertical fluting, adding depth and a lively interplay of reflections as the light meets its surface. The long twisted glass stem and warm brass details enhance the lamp’s poetic, decorative character, while the small finial beneath the shade adds a refined Art Deco touch.

In daylight, the pendant appears light and almost crystalline. When illuminated, the ribbed glass makes the light dance in soft reflections, creating a warm and atmospheric glow around it.
