From: USD2.982
Italian chandelier with Murano glass on a 4-level metal structure. The lamp frame supports 78 large alabaster pink glass tubes in a star shape. The alabaster technique, created at a Venetian glassworks, gives the glass the most beautiful pattern where no two glasses are the same.
Incredibly beautiful lighting that will complete any personal decor.
The Alabaster technique
Alabaster is a traditional Italian glass technique that originates from the region around Florence and is known for creating beautiful, colorful glass products. The technique involves the use of alabaster, a soft mineral that can be worked into fine detail.
In glass production, alabaster is used to achieve a unique opacity and light transparency, which gives the glass an almost marble-like quality. The artists often use this technique to produce sculptures, lampshades, vases and, in our case, the beautiful Poliedri glass for chandeliers.
The alabaster technique requires a high degree of craftsmanship, as the artists must master the mixing of different glass colors and adjust the temperature during the melting process to achieve the desired result.
